About the ITS Professional Capacity Building Program

The ITS Professional Capacity Building (PCB) Program provides comprehensive, accessible, and flexible ITS learning for the transportation industry. By using the program’s, public agencies can build and sustain a capable and technically proficient ITS workforce and transportation professionals can develop their knowledge, skills, and abilities while furthering their career paths.

The ITS PCB Program offers a wide spectrum of learning opportunities through training, technical assistance, web seminars, peer exchanges, education, case studies, reference materials, and local programs. The wide variety offers professionals an opportunity to meet their ITS learning needs in a more tailored and easily accessible way.

This website provides links to our range of learning opportunities for professional development that are delivered by our program and our associated PCB Program partners, universities, and university transportation research centers. This site also provides ITS learning opportunities for today's students and tomorrow's ITS workforce.

As a complement to our website, the ITS PCB Program also provides critical resources for technical assistance; peer assistance; and short, technical training opportunities. The ITS Solutions Center, the ITS Peer-to-Peer Program, and the ITS Talking Technology and Transportation (T3) Program are interconnected resources that provide additional workforce and professional development opportunities.
