ADVANCING ROAD WEATHER MANAGEMENT USING CLARUS DATA
Workshop and Webinar Announcements
WORKSHOP (1/10/10)
The FHWA Road Weather Management Program, in partnership with TRB and ITS America, will be sponsoring a Workshop on Advancing Road Weather Management Using Clarus Data on Sunday, January 10, 2010 during the TRB Annual Meeting in Washington DC. The workshop will bring together key members of the transportation and weather communities to discuss Clarus and surface transportation weather management, and to brainstorm on innovative research projects. The agenda for the workshop is shown below.
FHWA is interested in identifying and funding several graduate research projects that are multidisciplinary (i.e., that include transportation and meteorology) and use Clarus data to improve the surface transportation system. A Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for these research projects will be posted before the end of the year.
The workshop is open and free to all TRB registrants on a first-come, first-served basis. To get more information about the workshop and to register for the 2010 TRB Annual Meeting, visit the TRB website at http://www.trb.org/AnnualMeeting2010/Public/AnnualMeeting2010.aspx
